These wonderful summer '74 shows were overlooked for release for far too long - most likely due to various minor tape flaws and a general lack of "big jam" songs like Dark Star or The Other One. Dave's Picks got to repairing this immediately, and Vol. 2 is a wonderfully relaxed three-set open air concert in Hartford. The third set jam out of Truckin' is entirely instrumental until Wharf Rat. But also spare an ear for some of the most assured first-set material of the era. Discover Summer '74

Listening to this show now via PlayDead is just truly amazing! What a mind melting synesthesia experience and can only imagine how blissfully awesome the awareness of experiencing this show live must have been. I want a Time Machine pleas lol Thank you to Dave and the Dead.
