Additional additional: at the end of NFA, Phil clearly plays the Fire on the Mountain bassline! This is still months before the song’s premiere…

Additional: the Scarlett begonias is also great, and the Mississippi half step is the best I’ve heard to date!

This is a very good show, but not mind blowing. For me, there’s just a little bit too much coke in the mix this particular night: some tunes just feel too rushed. However, there are some great highlights where they drop into the pocket!
First set highlights: opening bars of Bertha (go Keith!), Peggy-O, second half of Let it grow (wow, interestingly different!), climax of Sugaree (7min mark). Second set highlights: second half of Mississippi (really good), St. Stephen through the end. The jam after drums seems to subtly pay tribute to Cloud Nine by the Temptations.

Keith is very prominent and he’s on fire. With the HD remastering and HI-RES streaming, although I’ve heard this so many times I wore out the CDs - it sounds brand new, like I’m hearing it again for the first time. There is a deep and noticeable difference and it unlocks many new corners to this already excellent recording.

The whole St.Stephen-NFA sandwich is amazing but when it drops from the jam back into St Stephen again - so good. Peak GD
