Another bullseye pick from 30 TRIPS. The Dead actually began the tour "May 77" tour in April - and those April shows were *excellent*. This 4/25/77 Passaic show is proof of that: all the "May 77" sound you could ever want, hidden away before the tour really got rolling.
The first set's highlights are Deal, LLR, and Peggy-O. But the second set's PITB sandwich - which is medleyed into by a new song for audiences, Terrapin Station - is as good as anything played at Cornell or Hartford next month. Another gem.
