Yea 88 was an odd year,… after the exuberance (particularly on the east coast) of “Jerry’s back and healthy” in 87 and before the consistently good most of 89 and first half of 90 we have 1988. Lots of good pickings for sure but also a level of tentativeness and inconsistency that I’ve never quite understood.

When hell in a bucket is the opener ya know its going to be good. Exquisite cover of queen jane. Touch opens 2nd set. Pure bliss. Late 80s dead at their finest????????
