For any “timer freaks” out there looking at this and going all, “What!!! A 24 minute Terrapin!!”. Obviously that’s not correct. At about 15 minutes, Terrapin fades into a very cool, full-band jam led by Bobby and the drummers. Phil, Jerry, and Bruce lay down cool shit all over the place. Never heard a jam theme similar to this one. At the end it breaks down to individual players and some duets before moving into Drums. There’s also some kind of clapping machine doing syncopated hand claps. These “pre Drums jams” that occurred between like 81 and 92 with LOTS happening in 89-91 are often the freshest, most captivating part of any second set. I love them and seek them out.
