Ah man, DP24
I knew a cat once that kicked coin for this and instead of keeping it pretty they rushed it. Hand to hand. Can you dig that scene man. This little gem did the rounds. From post to pillar. When I got on it I spun it.
I think it sits special for me because of how I first got acquainted with it. Plus it has a real bounce to it. US Blues speaks to the future man, with a short burst solo. BEW steps down a little. Feels a little slow, like it's haunting. BEW is one of my favourite GD joints and this is up there with the best man, I'm talking Dane County '78 leagues here man.
The solo is intense. But the down tempo makes you wait, like you're waiting on a real fly hippie chick to come through. It's not got the same chops as '77-'78 in the solo, but the heart of it man. I've never heard it performed with such meaning.
Scarlet gets you dancing.
And Deal, man...all there is to say is "it goes to show, you don't ever know"
Thank you Dick, RIP man
