Reviews for The String Cheese Incident: 11/2/2001 DAR Constitution Hall, Washington, DC

I went to most of the southeastern leg of this tour, and I think DC was the first night of 5-6 shows I saw that fall. It was a real interesting one. Less than 2 months after 9/11, and the vibe in DC was definitely strange. Very cool theater…seemed a little high class for all the wookery afoot. Billy & Liza opener I think with Jillian singing some. First set was ok, nothing too crazy. I think they debuted a song or two. At set break, it was super crowded in the bathroom area and somebody set off a stink bomb. People started to whispering “anthrax!” everywhere. Or maybe the mushrooms were taking hold. Suffice it to say, I barely made it back to my seat and the second set got pretty weird. Rollover > Rivertrance all day, my first Sand Dollar, a little bit of Kang evil out of BOTWP back into Rollover, and a mellow stop that train to land the plane a little more softly was appreciated. Weird night! Next few ones were fire.
