I love the Tom Joad tour. I find it hilarious and amazing and ballsy that he would do that cunnilingus rap. I was there in Freehold for that time he did it and I couldn’t believe he was doing it. At this part of the tour, it had a lot of comedy to it, but it also had the seriousness and the song Freehold is just great. I was there for the first one and I like how it evolved a little later in 1999 and he added another verse. Also, funny to hear him mention Donald Trump Long before he became president. Back then he was just some goofball rich guy. If he sang the song today, I’m thinking he would change that line.
