i draped a tye die tapestry over the rail up in front, bewildered by how many songs went full-on rave beat, one was drum n bass even! such a high nrg show!!! a smile spread across my face as i realized: the hippies had stolen techno, the bright, happy kind from way back when... i left this show with a transformed, deeper faith in the future of music

Short Shows Comment (7/31/2005 5:31:53 PM)
They are byu fare anywhere from losing thier stuff... The reason the shows are short is becuase at these places liek blossum and rochester they were on a time limit and couldnt play past 1130 at cleeland and 11 at rochester...... When the places set up for a concert to be played at thier location, they give them a time limit and it cant go over that... If they do, the bands have to pay more and such... also it has to do with set changes and how long they take adn when everythign actually gets started.... i mean you have 6 bands trying to play in like an 8 hour slot.... its hard for that even if they all only get an hour a piuece to play.... sci was usally aloowed anywehre from 1 1/2 - 2 hours per night.... go to hornings hide or get thoise shows if u think they are losing their stuff... i guarantee their jam all night long.. where your faith buddy? and besides its not about how long they are, but how good they are?

Regarding the question about why the show was short, I think it is because this is a travelling festival involving several bands, all of which play each show. Because of this each band`s set has to be kept a bit shorter just to fit all the yumminess into one night, capiche? When SCI is doing their own show outside of a multi-jam festival, they jam it out long for sure. Check it out if you get a chance...

I`m kind of out of the loop... Never seen a show in person, but can`t wait for an opportunity... I`ve got like 30 shows though... But I do have a question or concern: What`s up with these short concernts? I was looking through the Phish catalogue and we`re talking epic performances late into their career. That doesn`t seem to be the case with old SCI... Could someone explain? Are they losing their zeal? Are there simply too many people cutting into the action? Too many hanger ons? I mean let`s face it, Keller Williams is waaaay overrated... I think people like him have become an albatross for the Incident... I may be wrong, perhaps someone can enlighten me and let me know how these shows compare to those of a few years ago? Thanks...

I`m a long tinme fan and this was the first time I`ve had a chance to see the band live. It reminded of the Dead shows I saw many years ago. Hopefully you`ll be back next year and I`ll be there too. Keep on jammin!!!

This was my first Cheese concert, and I was completely blown away!! Best concert I`ve ever been to, hands down! My husband and I were just married, and what a great way to kick off our honeymoon! Hooked on the Cheese for life!!! Keep up the good work guys, and we hope to see more of your shows!

This was my 2nd Incident (Saturday being my first) and although I have heard 40 or so shows on disk, this was by far the most rockin show ever. The band was having so much fun that the crowd just had to follow suit. Or maybe it was the exact opposite, either way it rocked. Thanks for the most rockin birthday yet guys!
