What a show! From the first notes of AC/DCs "It's a long way to the top" (very appropriate)ringing out in the arena, getting us all clapping and cheering... and wondering if they're changing the opening from Ecstasy of Gold....(spoiler... they're not! ), to the final cacophony of noise of Enter Sandman... this was 2.5 hrs of fun, love and heavy tunes. I've been lucky to have seen metallica a number of times... starting in the late 80s, but it was great to see some young fans getting on board as well as us old timers! I was up in the rafters of the stadium and at times the sound was a bit muffled, but not enough to spoil the show.. James sounded as good as I can remember... still able to growl and chuckle! Kirk was on top form, his guitar sounded so good. Love metallica, always will... best night with 80,000 of my friends!
