Reviews for Grateful Dead: Blues For Allah: The Angel's Share

The first track here is playing with the infectious groove of Peggy Lee’s hit from 1958, Fever. If you’re not familiar with it, look it up, it’s a gas!

These free form, improv jams are super cool to hear. Love that we get a whole album of them working out jams in the studio. The crazy fingers, sand castles, and stronger than dirt are highlights for me.

A big “meh” from me on this. My CDs showed up yesterday. Kind of disappointed in the “remaster” of the original. Disk 2 sounds like an audience recording. Disk 3 saves the release.

Track #1 references Crazy Fingers only at the very end. Most of it is a jam that resembles Spoonful
