Didnt get to cheese until 2005. These older shows are so great really start to finish. The Climb is best Ive heard and so easy to listen to all these jams.

This is one of my favorite SCI shows, ever. The scene was absolutely magical. The venue was located about 20-30 minutes outside of Omaha in the middle of nowhere. Most of the folks in attendance appeared to be people on tour or doing a sizable run. The vibe was incredible and the band brought it. This Climb is possibly the best ever played. Kyle’s solo is spine tingling bliss, and the segue into Walk this Way transitions into some dark psychedelic funk, which is a precursor to an incredible second set and encore that are filled with dark trancy jams. This show included the first Pretty Polly, which is remains my favorite version to this day, and the Shantytown is incredible. The RTW>So What>RTW goes dark once more, showcasing SCI’s shift towards a trancy psychedelic funk sound that I miss dearly these days. All of this and I failed to mention the blissful sit in by Femi Kuti and some of his band mates. 2001 was such an incredible year for this band. This show right here… I was on this two week or so part of this tour that started with the widespread incidents. What a great time to be alive and be a cheese fam. These shows were great.
