The band was so tight and Sturgill brought the heat. He’s such a great performer. The set list was solid, great cuts from his large body of work and some amazing covers like only Sturgill and the boys could do it. The sound from 5 rows back was amazing. Vocals and the band were perfect. Moved to the balcony half way through to sit with a friend with a disability. Sound quality balcony stage left was a lot less clean. What can you do though. Loved that there was no opener, and just 3 straight hours of music.

seen him night before in moorhead and they blew my mind... next day I unexpectedly somehow talked my wife into letting me haul ass 3.5 hrs to cities to pick up my older brother and meet up with good buddy from hs and see stu for the 2nd night in a row.... somehow someway he again exceeded my expectations. and man they started with Juanita which they didn't play night before so that set the tone but without question call to arms on this night is the best they've ever played it . my older brother who turned me onto prince a few yrs ago I know I'm a slacker lol but he said wade that's the best remake of purple rain he's ever heard from his vocals to explosions on guitar it was perfection. I swear his guitar and the other their timing is flawless back and forth add in guy on organ who gives it a funky vibe and then does badass saxophone solos... holy talented. then kevin on bass i feel every show hes gettin looser and more confident multiple times he keeps that sound goin and something i really focused on this night was myles drumning... ...his skills on the drums don't get talked about enough ... he is as legit amd badass as it gets. I love my 3 kiddos and wife make no mistake on that but if I had the funds and didn't have to go to work everyday lol I swear I'd buy a van and I would travel to every fj show sturgil plays sturgil is the star of the shows but make no mistake the rest of this band and their grooving perfected timing band is downright AMAZING!!!!!!! BADASS VADASS

Just what I needed. Saw it live, listened tbe next day. Sturgill/Johnny and band were amazing, tight, great sound. Crowd was pretty sedate — Sturgill/Johnny comments on that. But no one around me was talking — I think people were really listening. And venue stinks — vibe not really conducive to letting loose.

truly an amazing night, there is not another performer on his level! this was very much a religious experience for me and I'll remember that feeling the rest of my life
