Well, well, well. I find myself at yet another SP concert- this makes 5 for me. Let me first state that I liked the show. It's great to see Billy and Jimmy still getting after it, and doing a damn great job! Billy sporting his choice of odd clothing (was it chain mail made out of leather plates?) And they let people photograph the show. So I took advantage of that and brought my Sony HD camcorder =) but on the negative side, maybe it's because I never really got into their later releases (Ava Adore and Machina specifically) and there wasn't much exposure to the new album, but I really feel like this show was lacking more substance. They really didn't play that much from Gish, Siamese Dream, or Mellon Collie. And the San Diego show was on the side of being short. If you need proof, take a look at the other date's set lists. I might be nit-picking on this, but understand that Smashing Pumpkins is in my top 3 bands, and to say that I'm passionate about the music I choose to listen to, is an understatement. I've been called a "music snob" which really, suits me just fine. Give me my Tool and Smashing Pumpkins, and you can have your Britney and Miley Cyrus.
Let there be rock!
