Good show, bad venue. Put us in the equivalent of an unleveled parking lot in the hottest part of the day. Billy was all business, with another hard curfew he had no time to ramble and bullshit between songs. Which gave the show a little edge to it. Alex is a great addition. And gettin some claw hammer was a treat.

Yeah i think Alex is killing it just like the rest of the boys. Great addition. I love the little background nuances i hear throughout not to mention his solos. This show sounds great and cant wait for HALLOWEEN! Yall know Alex just gonna get better and better the more he plays with em and gets used to the rhythms

Came out absolutely hot on a perfect night in the twin cities, new country blues was a fantastic Segway after a great Mire opener. Wargasm, rainbow, and Creek were out of this world.

So damn good. Highlights: sm miles, hideseek, rainbow, loved the wrgsm and personal favorite (Big) Creek. Also, at first, it took some time to get used to A.H.s sound, but I love it now. It's Billy's band, I must remember. Ever EVOLVING.

Overall the show was great! It amazes me how every show I listen is amazing in their own unique way. Alex makes an awesome addition, taking his turn and more to rip a solo on all of their standards. If I’d have anything that resembles a criticism it would be that I was surprised at how many repeats we got from the Palace run. However that’s difficult because the Train that Carried My Girl from Town > Black Mountain Rag was absolute fire. It felt a bit of a best of the Palace run, and all were terrific monster jams. Highlights for me were the Mire opener. Royal let us know right away he was there to rock. New Country Blues, Vamp in the Middle, and End of the Rainbow were the tracks that will get the most replay from me/best of show. It was a great hometown show, but Surly isn’t too inspiring. The setlist felt like something we get the next time they came or the time after. I was expecting more what Moorhead got. Anyone who did that 2-night run should be very pleased. Can’t wait for the next show!…

What a talent! His ability to entertain the masses is extraordinary. I went with family and friends to the surly brewery to see Billy strings three things I freaking love good music great times with friends and beer. Well two out of three ain't bad because surely made it almost impossible to get a beer in with their get in this line cuz you need cash get in this line cuz you need tickets get in this line cuz you need beer and all of the lines were very long and took on inordinate amount of time. And the end result after that boondoggle was the beer was swill. Other than that I had a good time and a Budweiser after the show.
