Taken from the official first night of the European tour, “It’s the blues but not as we know it, Jim.” A typical off-kilter Crimson view of things takes a dainty tiptoe between sparkling Beatlesy fills, sloping sax lines and thunderous Ladies Of The Road-style rock ‘n’rolling. Between the tumbling drums and lurching beat, Fripp and Collins bowl along throwing out some smart concise soloing that’s not without a touch of humour. Suitable grounds for a big grin as far as these ears are concerned.
