Fripp notes that tonight’s soundscape began in an empty house, observing that “for a while, the devotional intent in the music had nothing to block it.” It is a thing of beauty that seems to be constantly radiate outwards.

Lasting some 30 minutes, if one of the functions of the pre-show soundscape is to ‘tune the air’ to help create a space wherein musicians and audiences might join together in a communion of sorts, then it seems to have worked. “A strong performance to a supportive audience. I felt this audience to be genuinely receptive, rather than merely passive,” he continues. “The receptive has a contributory energy, the passive sucks it up. And this was the first audience that I can easily remember that did not present me the sense of encountering a block of energy, one that had to be dealt with. Most Crimson audiences come with expectation, attitude - even a positive attitude. This constitutes a wall of energy, with which to enter negotiation. Tonight, I felt the audience to be gentle and supportive.”

Sadly, only a portion of the show is recorded and even here Dinosaur is incomplete. For the sake of the completist/details-centric personalities out there, the rest of the show consisted of One Time, Happy, Dangerous Curves, LTIA IV, TBTB III, a solo spot from Adrian with Three Of A Perfect Pair, Frame By Frame, Elephant Talk and Red.
