Taken from the final night of this European tour, Epitaph makes its stately appearance on the KC setlist after the punchy hoo-haa of Easy Money. Ian McDonald’s Mellotron orchestrations composed in 1969 add to the portentousness of the track and remain a majestic achievement, beautifully rendered here by Bill Rieflin and Robert Fripp together especially on the haunting coda.
