The Lawrence kids came out to rage last night!! Great sold out show at the Bottleneck. Amazing energy in the room and the sound system rocked- plenty of bass for the peeps.
Travis dressed as a bloody mad surgeon, I opted for "V" for Vendetta. That mask and cape lasted about 15 minutes on me before I had to take it off. Definitely sweat fest at some point.
EZ Brothers from Kansas city opened with some great dubstep tracks.
It felt like a solid flow on our end from start to finish. I teased Peter Gabriel's "Red Rain", Olatunji's "Jin Go Lo Ba", and Wierd Al's "Like a Surgeon". Travis worked in the Halloween theme and we got extra spooky at times.
Cicada Rhythm production has really been dedicated to bringing electronic acts to Lawrence. You can feel that the people there are informed on all aspects of different electronic styles. Whenever we hit a new vibe, they were right there with us.
It was sorta one of those nights where I don't remember the particulars but it felt really good throughout. Thing 2, nurses, zombies, chickens, and Vampires were present. Lawrence Kansas on Halloween is epic.
