This month’s Third Man Records’ archive release showcases a performance from The White Stripes on June 19, 2007 - the same day their final album Icky Thump was released worldwide. The band had just came off an epic show at Bonnaroo, and headed into the more intimate Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York with a gusto. The 28-song performance showcased six tracks off the album, and Jack’s light roast of the music industry crowd in attendance can be heard in the banter throughout the night. Jack and Meg returned to NYC a month later for a performance at MSG, but what wasn’t known at this time is that the pair’s final show would come that following week. Listen now to this smoking show, it’s now streaming for our subscribers.
